CPDP Debuts with Champ Paine
CPDP is proud to annouce its launch with its first artist,
Champ Paine.
Champ Paine is a self-described product of hip-hop
music. Born in Haiti, Dae relocated to East New York, Brooklyn at a young
age. He spent his teenage years on the streets of the Queens neighborhood
known as Shadyville where he was inspired by established and up-and-coming
rappers from the surrounding area. It was here that Dae decided that he
wanted to be a part of the rising hip-hop culture movement and became involved
in the careers of undiscovered, independent hip-hop artists in New York
City. He quickly realized that he had an eye and ear for talent, but working
behind the scenes did not prove satisfying enough for Champ. Unimpressed with
the current state of hip-hop, Champ decided that it was time for him make
the move from behind the artist to in front of the microphone. In 2002,
he began to perfect his MC skills and record his own music.

DJs' Corner
CPDP is proud to support the DJ community with the DJs' Corner, one of the key features
in CPDP's web launch. CPDP strives to be an independent label for independent artists,
and understands that musician's aren't the only artists in the business. The DJs' Corner
is under heavy development, attempting to bring tools and resources to DJs everywhere, because
who hears a working artist without a working DJ to play them?
